Content Strategist

Our client, a family owned logistics and moving company is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Marketing & Communications Content Writer to support email marketing, social media, and content strategy efforts. This role involves managing a monthly newsletter, optimizing audience engagement, and maintaining a strong digital presence. This is a remote role, estimated at 10 hours a month.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monthly Strategy & Analytics:
• Develop and lead a 1-hour monthly strategy call to review newsletter performance metrics and brainstorm ideas for the next e-blast.
• Identify and refine target audiences based on engagement trends and business goals.
• Plan for upcoming conferences, including promotional materials, swag needs, and potential presentation opportunities.
• Email Marketing & List Management:
• Draft and refine monthly newsletters for review and approval.
• Maintain and update an email list of ~1,400 recipients, ensuring accurate segmentation and targeting.
• Propose strategies to expand reach beyond the current audience by targeting specific demographics (e.g., location, age group).
• Social Media & Content Creation:
• Manage and update Facebook & LinkedIn accounts with engaging, relevant content.
• Utilize iStock photos and SEO best practices to enhance visibility and engagement.
• Suggest and implement boosted posts and paid strategies to target key audience segments.

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong experience in email marketing, audience segmentation, and content creation.
• Familiarity with social media management, SEO techniques, and digital advertising.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate monthly planning and execution.
• Experience with iStock, analytics tools, and campaign performance tracking.
