About The Opportunity
Camp Bow Wow’s Internal Communication Specialist is a critical and unique position that divides responsibilities between writing captivating internal communications and office administration. This position reports directly to the President of Camp Bow Wow and will create, implement, and maintain internal communication, resources, and published content on Camp Bow Wow intranet. The position ensures all communications are clear, concise, compelling, and consistent with company goals, values, and objectives while embodying the voice and writing style of the President. In addition, this position is responsible for all aspects of office management coordinating maintenance, supplies, event planning, and organization to create a space that is functional and welcoming to all Camp Bow Wow staff. The ideal candidate is creative, detailed oriented, organized, and possesses strong written and verbal communication skills.
How You Will Make a Difference
Internal Communications
- Create, implement, and maintain internal communications, resources, and published content on Camp Bow Wow’s intranet.
- Provide clear, concise, and compelling communications that are consistent with company goals and objectives.
- Coordinate and manage a communication calendar; making important decisions about content and timing to not overwhelm the internal network (Master Calendar: emails, newsletters, articles, etc.).
- Coordinate, write, and edit content for scheduled or urgent communications (monthly newsletter, emails, webinars, in-person meetings, presentations, etc.) that align with Camp Bow Wow’s brand standards.
- Manage contacts, distribution lists, and users accounts.
- Develop genuine messages and reach intended audiences with writing practices aligned with the communication style of the President of Camp Bow Wow.
- Partner with relevant stakeholders to publish timely company information, such as memos and company directives with key messaging to Camp Bow Wow employees and franchise systems.
- Proactively build relationships and engage with franchisees and corporate office staff, providing background information and developing communications for upcoming software updates, events, and/or larger franchise stories.
- Provide support for refining communication tools/resources and appropriate vendor/solution enhancements as we continue to grow.
Office Management
- Maintain a functional office space responsible for, but not limited to, coordinating maintenance, security, supplies, seating chart, cleanliness, organization, and aesthetics.
- Correspond with office vendors to set expectations, schedule services, and review work agreements annually.
- Coordinate office activities and events working cross functionally to plan or organize all activities, documents, communications, processes, and presentations.
- Respond to all office inquiries, needs, or emergencies, being the main point of contact and showing up onsite when necessary.
- Identify other opportunities to provide executive support to the President and other Leadership Team members as needed.
A Strong Candidate Will Have
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in Internal Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field
- Experience in franchising or franchise communications is a plus
- Superior verbal, writing, editing, and proofreading skills (writing samples may be requested as a part of the interview process)
- Ability to effectively organize materials, distill ideas, and write lively and appealing content in a variety of voices
- Proficient project management skills and ability to quickly shift priorities and multitask in a fast-pace environment
- Interested in learning and executing the office management responsibilities of the position
- Ability to take direction, receive and incorporate feedback, and navigate multiple expectations and viewpoints
- Expertise in Google Workspace is plus

Compensation & Benefits - Compensation Range: $60,000-$65,000
- Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt
- Work Arrangements: Hybrid, work onsite at the corporate headquarters in Westminster, CO currently scheduled to be in office 50% of the time
