Summary of responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of multiple aspects of events, meetings, marketing, and communications
  • Support the BEN team with organizational and operational aid across different projects 
  • Schedule meetings and communicate on behalf of the organization including the Executive Director, and support scheduling of the events calendar


Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:


Event Coordination (50%)

  • Support the planning of, and attend and execute all events and meetings
  • Secure space for meetings and events
  • Efficiently set up and tear down all events and meetings in accordance with expectations including the preparation of physical materials, setting up any digital needs, onsite troubleshooting, and inventory management
  • Draft invitational communications, handle registration functions, and run reports to assess event success
  • Draft and design event collateral, communications, and surveys 


Communications & Design (40%)

  • Work with Marketing & Events Coordinator to research and develop the newsletter to be shared across all BEN audiences
  • Support the creation of marketing materials, including the design of digital collateral, website maintenance, and social media
  • Act as ‘first set of eyes’ by proofreading and ensuring accuracy across invite lists, event pages, bio packets, and other written materials


Operational Support (10%)

  • Support BEN Colorado Group calendars and email accounts
  • Qualify and schedule inbound and outbound meeting requests for leadership, and act as a point of contact for anything that may arise
  • Write and send thank-you notes to key contributors
  • Take thorough notes of meetings for distribution to meeting participants
  • Assist with various operational initiatives i.e. tracking the organization’s technology subscriptions, distribute forms via Docusign, basic invoicing
  • Execute various research projects and miscellaneous projects to support the organization’s success


Supervision Received

This position reports to the Director of Programs & Impact. This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility.


Minimum Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • A positive, can-do attitude, including the willingness to take on a wide variety of tasks as needed for the success of projects 
  • The ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • A self-starter who has the ability to work on a small team with minimal supervision
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Technologically savvy 
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Demonstrated maturity, energy, initiative, professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to follow through
  • An understanding of the critical importance of confidentiality 
  • Must be local or live close to Denver, Colorado
  • Must have reliable transportation, and the ability to regularly transport event materials to and from the office and events

 

Preferred Qualities

  • Ability to work with numerous diverse constituencies 
  • Excellent problem-solving
  • Experience in Canva, Salesforce, Google Suite, SurveyMonkey, Mailchimp


Compensation:

This is a full-time salaried position with opportunity of advancement.

  • Compensation = $55,000/year
  • 10% Annual Bonus
