The Washington Autism Alliance (WAA) is searching for a talented and driven Marketing & Communication Coordinator to join our Community Engagement team. In this role, you will play a vital role in amplifying our voice and connecting with our audience on social media.

What You'll Do
Media & Content Creation:
Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy, creating engaging and informative content for Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter.
Manage our blog, ensuring it's consistently updated with fresh, relevant content. Schedule and publish content across all platforms to grow our audience.
Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and monitor analytics to optimize performance.
Create visually appealing promotional materials, including social media graphics, flyers, and press releases.
Write compelling copy for marketing materials, event descriptions, and invitations. Oversee the design and production of branded event assets (banners, signage, etc.).
Collaborate with the team to develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy.
Assist with creating and distributing our monthly email newsletter.
Marketing Strategy & Event Promotion:
Develop marketing and communication plans to promote events, collaborating with the team to ensure alignment with event goals.
Manage email campaigns for event promotion, updates, registration confirmations, reminders, and post-event follow-ups.
Maintain event landing pages with up-to-date information and ensure seamless integration with registration systems.
Monitor and optimize web traffic and user engagement.
Event Support:
Oversee branding and promotional material placement at events.
Coordinate live social media coverage (posts, stories, live streams).
Capture photos, videos, and attendee testimonials for post-event promotion.
You Are A Perfect Fit If...
You are a social media whiz with experience using Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter.
You have a strong understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices.
You possess a background in online marketing and are passionate about using social media for good.
While not required, a working knowledge of graphic design tools like Canva would be a plus.
You have a deep commitment to supporting individuals and families affected by autism.
You are a highly organized individual with excellent time management skills.
You excel at written, verbal, and listening communication.
You are proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Docs applications.
You possess strong computer and internet skills and are comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
Bonus Points For...
Experience working with Donor Management software (Little Green Light or equivalent) and MailChimp.
Experience working with social media scheduling tools.
Reliable transportation to attend occasional off-site meetings and events.
The ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.

This is a part-time position (20 hours/week.
Salary will be determined based on experience between $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
