As UX Designer, you’ll lead the design and development of intuitive and engaging user interfaces for web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting user interviews, facilitating user acceptance testing (UAT), and building comprehensive UX strategies. This role involves creating mockups and prototypes and collaborating closely with engineers to develop front-end user interfaces. Familiarity with Army networking is a significant advantage.

What you’ll do:
- Conduct user interviews to gather insights and validate design decisions.
- Plan and execute UAT sessions, documenting findings and recommendations for improvements.
- Create and refine wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to visualize design concepts.
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure accurate implementation of UI designs.
- Present design ideas and strategies to stakeholders and gather feedback.
- Analyze UAT results and user feedback to iterate on design solutions.
- Maintain and enhance the organization’s design system to ensure UI consistency.
- Stay updated on design trends and tools to continuously improve the user experience
What you’ll need to succeed:
- The ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
- 3-5 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions.
- 3-5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field, with a focus on managing and optimizing data pipelines.
- Experience working with engineers to develop front-end UIs and integrate designs into development workflows
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of UX research methods, including user interviews and usability testing.
- Experience in creating wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
- Understanding of front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with a strong focus on solving user problems through design.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and best practices.
