Role Overview
The CONTENT PRODUCER will be a part of our multimedia team. They will be tasked with executing innovative, high-quality content that drives traffic and increases followers across our channels, particularly for The Triangle Weekender and Heart of NC Weddings brands. The role involves managing content for assigned brands under the guidance of the Multimedia Content Director, supporting clients’ content, social media and website needs, contributing to the editorial calendar and tracking content performance against KPIs. Additionally, the role may include developing organic content for branding or custom projects.
Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Write, edit, and research SEO-friendly articles for assigned brands- website and magazine under the direction of the Multimedia Director.
- Client Management: Manage client experience weekly for the website, directories, calendar, and organic blog content.
- Social Media Execution and Interaction: Create, repurpose and manage Paid Social Posts, systematically tracking and reporting their performance. Engage with followers, commenters and potential followers. Assist/collab with other social posts for City Mag brands as needed.
- Newsletter Lead: Execute weekly newsletter in collaboration with city magazine reps and Heart of NC Weddings newsletter. Source content, communicate with advertisers and internal resources to produce it.
- Video Content: Produce and ideate engaging video Reels that incorporate current music and trending copy.
- Editorial Support: Aid in maintaining the editorial calendar for assigned brands for digital and print by writing, editing, creative brainstorming, assisting at photo shoots, maintaining orderly records and fact-checking.
- Nurture Community Relationships: Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients or community partners to foster brand loyalty, story ideation and to support our mission of connecting the Triangle.
- Directory and Event Calendar Manager: Manage The Triangle Weekender and Heart of NC Weddings directories to ensure accuracy and export to city magazine staff for publishing.
- Event Representation: You are expected to proactively work with your manager to attend key events, develop social or print content and represent the company.
- Engage in Community Service: Commit to serving on a community board or volunteering with a local organization annually, aligning with the company’s community involvement values
- Community Residency Requirement: Maintain residence within the Triangle region to foster strong local connections and effectively serve our community-focused clients
Qualifications
- Writing and Editing: Strong proficiency in writing, editing and storytelling. A working knowledge of AP Style is preferred.
- Content Marketing & Digital Knowledge: Familiarity with content marketing strategies and writing for digital audiences.
- Technological Proficiency: Ability to create engaging video content in addition to written material, particularly in social media contexts.
- Local Knowledge: Awareness of developments in the Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill areas, with an interest in local trends, food and drink, culture and growth.
- Organizational Skills: Capability to multitask and reprioritize effectively .
Interpersonal Skills: Positive, outgoing demeanor, capable of professional interactions with clients and collaboration with colleagues.
