Our mission is to support entrepreneurs at all stages by providing resources, guidance, mentorship, and a community network. Launch SA’s primary location is in the Central Library in downtown San Antonio.

We are a small team making a significant impact, and we are looking to expand our team with a Marketing and Events Specialist for Launch SA.
Position Summary:
The Marketing and Events Specialist at Launch SA will play a crucial role in executing the marketing needs of our organization, supporting event promotion, and engaging with San Antonio’s entrepreneurial community. This position focuses on coordinating marketing materials, promoting events, representing Launch SA at community engagements, and sharing the stories of local entrepreneurs to inspire and connect our community.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Material Creation and Event Support:
- Coordinate and develop essential marketing materials to support Launch SA’s outreach and programming needs.
- Execute marketing strategy from the Geekdom Marketing Director & Launch SA Director to ensure maximum visibility for Launch SA events and programs within the San Antonio entrepreneurial community.
- Aid in the development and management of promotional materials and digital content that highlight events, partnerships, and resources available through Launch SA.
- Work with the Marketing Director to manage Launch SA’s social media presence and community newsletter.
Community Engagement and Representation:
- Act as a representative of Launch SA at various events, host marketing tables, build relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and entrepreneurs to broaden Launch SA’s impact.
- Engage with attendees and community members, fostering awareness and providing information about Launch SA’s mission, resources, and programming.
- Support outreach initiatives to promote Launch SA’s role as a key resource for San Antonio’s small business and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
- Capture “in the moment” content to aid the marketing team in highlighting Launch SA’s community engagement and outreach.
Event Marketing Coordination and Execution:
- Assist in executing Launch SA events, working closely with internal teams to ensure successful setup and event wrap-up.
- Collaborate with Launch SA and Geekdom’s marketing teams to enhance event visibility through social media, email, and local partnerships.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Track and analyze marketing metrics to assess campaign performance and community engagement, providing insights for future improvements using tools like Hubspot.
- Prepare monthly reports measuring progress on audience engagement, event attendance, and community outreach goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in marketing, event coordination, or community engagement.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to represent Launch SA professionally at events and within the community.
- Familiarity with digital marketing platforms, social media, and basic design tools (e.g., Canva and Hubspot).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- An interest in supporting the entrepreneurial community and working collaboratively within a team.
