Position Overview
Thanks to the success of our organization’s recent fundraising efforts, we are seeking a passionate and motivated Resource Development (RD) Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As the RD Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting our efforts to secure resources that empower local youth in our community who need us most. You will partner with the Resource Development Director to plan and execute fundraising campaigns and communications, engage with donors, and contribute to the overall success of our resource development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Annual Campaign Execution and Support
- Collaborate with the Director of Resource Development to develop annual fundraising strategies that resonate with our mission.
- Assist in the execution of the annual fundraising campaign, including special events, peer-to-peer fundraising, and seasonal appeals.
- Coordinate logistics for fundraising events, including outreach, registration, and post-event follow-up.
Donor Engagement
- Maintain donor records, ensuring that donor information is current and accurate.
- Assist in donor stewardship activities, including personalized communication, acknowledgment, and recognition.
- Partner with the Director of Resource Development to draft and send the organization’s monthly update e-newsletter to BGCDOC donor base.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Prepare regular reports on fundraising progress and outcomes.
- Analyze donor data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in fundraising strategies.
Grant Management
- Support the grant application process, including researching potential grant opportunities, writing compelling proposals, and reporting on grant outcomes.
- Help maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and requirements.
Youth and Community Outreach
- Collaborate with Club staff to engage with Club members and families in fundraising activities, fostering a sense of community involvement.
- Represent the Boys & Girls Club at community events, schools, and local meetings to build relationships with prospective donors.
Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support to the Director of Resource Development, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and maintaining fundraising materials.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of related professional experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., nonprofit management, youth development, communications) is preferred.
- Genuine enthusiasm for the BGCDOC mission.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in donor management software (e.g., CRM) is a plus.
- Previous experience in nonprofit fundraising or a related field is a plus.
