Job Summary
The Lincoln Sports Foundation Marketing and Social Media Intern will play a pivotal role in promoting the Lincoln Sports Foundation’s brand, programs, and events through digital marketing channels. This position offers hands-on experience in social media management, content creation, newsletter writing, and LinkedIn account development. Working with the Director of Operations, the intern will operate largely independently and is expected to bring creativity, self-direction, and fresh ideas to the table. All marketing efforts must align with the organization’s brand book to ensure consistency and professionalism.
Duties
- Create, schedule, and publish content across all social media platforms, including TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Maintain and update accounts with regular posts, updates, and news to increase visibility and professional engagement.
- Write, design, and distribute a monthly email newsletter to keep stakeholders informed about upcoming events, programs, and achievements.
- Attend and assist with Lincoln Sports Foundation events.
- Assist with any additional tasks or projects as needed to support operations and marketing efforts.
Qualifications
- Current enrollment in a college/university program related to marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
- Proficiency in social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Experience with content creation tools such as Canva, Hootsuite, or Meta Business Suite.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- A creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and community engagement.
- Knowledge of branding principles and adherence to style guides or brand books.
Expected hours: 7 – 15 per week
