We are looking for a talented and motivated Data Control and Documentation Specialist to join our team. This position would be responsible for revising, organizing and maintaining the extensive amount of SDSs and labels required by the Regulatory Compliance Department to service all Nazdar and SourceOne facilities on a worldwide level. Specific projects and duties of this position include all aspects of SDS and label requirements, responding to, and directing internal and external customer requests.
Location: Remote (Preference for candidates local to Kansas City, MO)
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage all Nazdar SDSs, including creating, revising and archiving SDSs for standard, color match and R&D products using our ULTRUS WERCS software.
- Add and maintain Product Aliases processes for manufactured products including respective label data to allow Production to print
- Run WERCS Orders Interface daily - includes maintenance of updating/entering SDS contact data in M1 and WERCS and obtaining missing SDSs
- Run WERCS Formulation Interface – includes adding Aliases, creating SDSs, label and other misc data for new products and reviewing and updating SDSs for revised formulas
- Respond to lengthy and extensive customer specific Regulatory requests by researching product substances and their related regulatory data (both WERCS and using the internet).
- Enter new substances and associated data in WERCS for raw materials or toll / vendor products
- Provide internal and external customer support with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements including SDS requests, customs/ import, shipping, restricted lists and many more.
- Maintain Regulatory form response letters/subformats and update/create as necessary
- Manage SourceOne SDSs (and their Aliases) through obtaining, updating, retrieving and uploading SDSs using our WERCS software.
- Maintenance of Regulatory related documents for raw materials
- Attend training, webinars and read newsletter/articles to gain knowledge on worldwide Regulatory events and activities.
- Assist with label related projects as necessary
- Look for ways to continually improve within daily and other repetitive tasks
- Other projects as assigned by the Regulatory Data Management Supervisor
Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies, Regulatory related is a PLUS
- High level of experience using ULTRUS (WERCS) or other equivalent Regulatory SDS and label software
- Solid background of developing SDSs and labels on a worldwide level
- Advanced knowledge of current Regulations dealing with SDS and labels for North America, Canada, Europe, UK, China, and other regions.
- Familiarity with the different Regulatory related groups in the different regions including OSHA, HSE, ECHA, EUPIA, MEP, EPA, etc
- Knowledge of Regulatory related terms, abbreviations and acronyms used worldwide in the industry
- Experience with the above relating to hazardous chemicals is highly recommended but not required
- Familiarity with the different Global Inventories and their requirements
- High degree of computer skills including intermediate skills using Word and Excel and performing Internet research. Previous Access experience a PLUS.
- Strong ability to learn quickly and recall information accurately
- Strong language skills to read and interpret documents such as regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, product literature and procedure manuals
- Demonstrated initiative in carrying out work requirements
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical, time management and data management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Mathematical ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- PLUS but not required: Other languages spoken
- PLUS but not required: Specific Regulatory experience with Asian Region or others, non USA
- PLUS but not required: Familiarity with Food Regulations
- PLUS but not required: Familiarity with any worldwide Chemical related registration or reporting software
