Position Title: Community Connections Coordinator Reports to: Director of Impact and Engagement Classification: Nonexempt Category: 20 hours per week; nights and weekends regularly required Location: Neighborhoods/community sites and office based Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Director of Impact and Engagement, the Community Connections Coordinator will be an integral member of the engagement and impact team serving as a bridge connecting people, information, resources and opportunities to promote collaboration that meets needs, sustains assets, fills gaps, and reduces barriers. The Community Connections Coordinator will have responsibility for ensuring community voice is cultivated, represented, and infused into conversations, deliberations, preparations, and evaluations. The Community Connections Coordinator will work alongside neighborhood leaders to build capacity and implement prioritized services and programs and will also promote access to services and opportunities by providing information to neighbors in a variety of ways and formats. Job Qualifications: Commitment to advocacy, equity and creating a community where everyone belongs. Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with people from all walks of life. Previous experience cultivating community voice in a variety of ways and settings. Previous experience designing and implementing activities that promote community engagement and involvement. Demonstrated ability to evaluate impact by effectively managing data collection and reporting. Ability to transition quickly between functions and enjoy working across a variety of settings. Previous experience with or willingness to learn Canva, Constant Contact, WordPress, various social media platforms, and/or other applications that assist with sharing information. Those with lived experience and previous experience in advocacy efforts will be given priority. Bachelor's degree in related field plus 2 years of working in nonprofits and/or community-based organizations preferred. Bilingual in Spanish a plus Job Responsibilities: Support convening neighborhood leaders, advocates, and ambassadors monthly to share information, resources, and opportunities and work on common goals. Provide for communication between meetings by sending follow up from monthly meetings and sending announcements to promote connection. Be present in United Neighborhoods and broader community to connect neighbors to resources and to better understand challenges and opportunities. Attend monthly meetings and events hosted and sponsored by United Neighborhoods. Support the cultivation of community voice by assisting with the implementation of an annual community needs survey and feedback focus groups. Support the publishing of a monthly community newsletter. Support keeping the North Meck Connect website updated and refreshed. Support keeping the North Meck Connect Resource Guide updated. Develop volunteer program in coordination with neighborhood ambassadors that takes information to neighbors by going door-to-door in United Neighborhoods and beyond. Support other community engagement activities geared at raising awareness in broader community about the history, strength, partners, and needs of the area.
