Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative and results-driven Digital Marketing Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the ideal candidate will be responsible for executing and optimizing our digital marketing efforts to drive subscriber growth, engagement, and retention. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking, technical know-how, and creative flair.
Key Responsibilities:
Campaign Management:
- Plan, execute, and monitor email marketing campaigns to promote newsletter subscriptions and increase engagement.
- Manage and optimize paid advertising campaigns across platforms like Google Ads, Facebook, and LinkedIn with the goal of increasing subscribers and key KPIs
Content Promotion:
- Coordinate the promotion of newsletter content across social media, email, and other digital channels.
- Schedule and maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent posting and audience engagement.
SEO and Web Optimization:
- Partner with in-house Senior SEO Strategist to optimize website content and landing pages for search engine rankings.
- Monitor website performance and user experience, suggesting improvements as needed
Analytics and Reporting:
- Track and analyze key performance metrics (e.g., conversion rates, email open rates, ad performance).
- Prepare regular reports for the Vice President of Marketing to inform strategy and improve ROI.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the editorial and design teams to align marketing campaigns with content goals.
- Liaise with external vendors or freelancers for specialized projects.
Subscriber Engagement:
- Develop strategies to retain existing subscribers, such as exclusive offers, loyalty campaigns, or personalized content.
- Respond to subscriber inquiries and feedback to improve satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in content marketing, digital marketing, or newsletter management, ideally in a subscription-based or content-driven business.
- Proficiency with content creation tools for graphic design elements (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Proficiency with email marketing and email service providers
- Experience with newsletter management: including building, scheduling, and optimizing email campaigns for subscriber growth and engagement.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create compelling, audience-targeted content that aligns with the voice and goals of the newsletter.
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.) for collaboration, reporting, and content planning.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices to optimize content for search engines and drive organic traffic.
- Experience with content analytics to track newsletter performance (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, and engagement metrics) and optimize future campaigns.
- Solid understanding of audience segmentation and content personalization strategies to tailor messages for different reader segments.
- Familiarity with the short-term rental or real estate investment industry is a plus, but not required.
- A self-starter mentality, able to thrive in an ambiguous business setting, take initiative, and successfully drive marketing growth with little to no direction.
