Under the direction of the Director of Admissions and Communications, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build effective communication, enhance relationships, and ensure high-quality customer service to achieve JCHS’s communications goals and objectives.

Essential Job Duties / Functions:
- Assist with developing and implementing a public relations and communications plan to promote JCHS. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- School Website
- Maintain and post updates on the school’s website.
- Maintain the Niche profile.
- Weekly E- News
- Manage, create and send the school’s weekly e-newsletter
- Coordinate with administrative team members to gather and update info each week. Update and maintain email database.
- Social Media Accounts
- Develop a social media/communication calendar for the school year each July.
- Create and post content on main social media accounts using digital strategy and best practices.
- Maintain statistics related to social media engagement.
- Generate a minimum of 20 monthly posts on primary social media platforms.
- Create daily reels/stories for social media.
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage and control access to social media accounts obtain and track Social Media Administrator Agreements.
- Stay updated on social media trends, tools, and best practices to optimize engagement and reach.
- JC APP
- Updates: Review and update the features in January and July of each year to enhance the user experience.
- Performance: Monitor the app’s performance to identify and resolve any issues that could impact user experience.
- Membership: Renew the membership in the Apple Developer Program.
- Graphic Design
- Ensure all JCHS branding standards are met and provide graphic design services to faculty and staff. This does not include the advancement department.
- Promote the school and communicate using various print and digital channels.
- Create content and publish in feeder parish bulletins.
- Create and publish press releases.
- Assist with creating and responding to media inquiries.
- Provide support and assist with the planning and implementation of events:
- Back to School Night
- Annual Open House
- Partner School Field Trips
- Partner School Back-to-School Nights
- Parish Visits & Events
- Campus Visits / Tours
- Admissions Administrative Support
- With the Director of Admission and Communications, serve as a test proctor for the HSPT at a partner school and assist with planning.
- Update communication templates in FACTS SIS annually.
- Monitor new student inquiries and communicate and provide support as needed.
- Manage Ram for a Day program.
- Assemble applicant files.
- Assemble folders for campus visits and marketing materials.
- Liaison for new transfer students and families.
- Commit to continuous improvement by keeping abreast of current developments in Catholic education and marketing strategies through professional development, research, and Diocesean training.
- As needed, assist the Director of Finance and Principal with hiring and general HR paperwork
- Assist with managing the school’s VIRTUS account
Additional Job-Related Expectations and Duties:
- Attend daily chapel and school Masses, Baccalaureate Mass, and Graduation.
- Attend Diocesan Professional Days.
- Give advance notification and keep your supervisor apprised of off-campus school-related appointments.
- Other school-related responsibilities as determined by the Director of Admissions & Communications.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
- Proficient in Canva, Mail Chimp, Google, Microsoft Office programs, Adobe InDesign, and other graphic design programs.
- Ability to be self-managed, identify and reach objectives independently, and make responsible judgment calls with minimal supervision.
- A self-starter with a growth mindset, open to change and continuous improvement.
- Excellent and professional interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work effectively with school employees, parish personnel, coaches, parents, representatives of other agencies, and the general public
- Ability to multi-task, strong organizational skills and capable of multitasking
- Ability to use office equipment (fax, computer, copier, iPad, etc.)
Physical Requirements
- Occasional light lifting and carrying of under 15 pounds
- Occasional moderate carrying and lifting of 15 – 44 pounds
- Frequent use of both hands and fingers (i.e. typing)
- Frequent extended periods of sitting
- Occasional periods of standing, kneeling and climbing
- Occasional ability of minimal hearing (i.e. loud noises, sirens) and routine hearing (i.e. listening to others in conversation)
- Frequent time spent working closely with others
