SUMMARY: Responsible to assist in maintaining, developing, executing and evaluating Marketing Operation entertainment, events and promotional programs to achieve objectives regarding revenue/profitability and identify opportunities to increase effectiveness. ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION: Responsible for the planning, developing, implementing, and assisting for all promotional and property events. Responsible to assist in handling pertinent details of artist and show production, such as food, sound and light, transportation, payment, photographer, emcees, passes, etc. Responsible to coordinate details of promotions such as ordering product, displaying items, set-up and teardown of promotional giveaways. Responsible for working with Grand Casino Hinckley counterpart on cross-property promotions and events to ensure the promotions are executed in the same manner. Assist with box office ticketing, accounting procedures, and ticket issues. Ensuring proper holds are established and maintained. Required to pull tickets to support guest service and show production and execution. Assists in training frontline associates in ticket software. Responsible to create and distribute external and internal communication of all entertainment, promotions and events such as the Gazette, associate communication meetings, associate newsletter, promotion notices and other approved publications. Ensuring that any such communication is executed in a timely manner. Responsible for updating the GC intranet with promotions, events and concerts to ensure information is available to internal guests. Responsible to process contracts, create purchase orders and maintain files, as needed. Assist with monthly financial management and billing. Attend and work at each entertainment, promotions and event. Ensure the delivery and return of decorations, props and rental items. Responsible to secure and maintain entertainment and events files such as schedule listings, competitor reports, library files and books, etc. Clerical support, faxing, typing and distribution of memos, follow-up phone calls, etc. Contribute to special projects to support company management, as needed. Run errands in obtaining photos, materials, props, for events, as necessary. Ensures compliance with all company policies and practices. Assist with evaluating each event and submission of post event reports with pertinent information, such as final evaluation (summary of events), Monthly Band Report, final cost/revenue summaries, proformas, ticket utilization, ETicket reports. Responsible for programming and executing promotions utilizing MGT or other virtual drawing system. Responsible for obtaining reports from Patron/MGT. Conduct regular inventories, specifically promotional items to ensure we are in compliance with regulations. Conduct regular audits of coupons and other items. Responsible for sending out RFPs to secure appropriate decorations or services for promotions, events, and concerts. Coordinate and facilitate meetings related to promotions and events. Maintain cooperative and informed relationship with vendors. Develop promotional rules, procedures and internal communications. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of two (2) years experience in event planning, entertainment or promotions execution experience required. One (1) year supervisory experience preferred.
