Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Job Description: The Office of State Senator Katie Fry Hester is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Communications Director. This role is critical in ensuring effective communication between the Senator's office and constituents, managing the office's digital presence, and supporting communication during the legislative session.

Primary Responsibilities:

Constituent Services Coordination: Oversee and coordinate constituent services, ensuring timely and effective responses to constituent inquiries and concerns.
Constituent Correspondence: Draft and manage all constituent correspondence, including letters, emails, and other written communications on behalf of the Senator.
Social Media Management: Manage the Senator's social media accounts, including content creation, scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding.
Newsletter Assistance: Assist in writing and editing the Senator’s weekly newsletter, highlighting legislative updates, constituent stories, and upcoming events.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, including support for special projects, events, and office administration as needed.

Qualifications:

Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
Experience in social media management and digital communication strategies.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Experience in public relations, communications, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience working in a legislative or political environment is a plus.
