What We’re Looking For:

Southern PHC Magazine is looking for an enthusiastic, talented, and driven freelance writer to join our team in writing, editing, producing and delivering a bi-monthly print publication, weekly e-newsletter and weekly podcast in the plumbing, heating and cooling trade space.

We also are ACCEPTING INTERNS in this department!

Who We Are:

Our mission is to tell great stories that engage and connect contractors to great content that they can use to grow their business. We do this through a variety of channels that include traditional print as well as a bevy of digital outreach. We are led by an award winning team of directors with passion to deliver great stories at the core of our culture.

What We Do:

We create original content about the plumbing, heating and cooling trades across the 14 southern states from Virginia to Texas. Using the latest technology incorporating the written word, video, drone photography and more we tell stories in ways that engage our readers.

The Writer will:

Be responsible for all aspects of researching, writing and editing, stories in written, audio and video formats.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in writing on trade topics (any trade is okay).
Expertise in editing.
Strong story development skills.
Excellent storytelling judgment and journalistic instincts.
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and work under time pressure deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to clearly communicate plans and solutions.
