The Marketing & Business Development Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of PFCU's marketing plan to meet organizational objectives. The Marketing & Business Development Manager efforts should facilitate the successful representation and delivery of the credit union's products and services through all available channels. The Marketing & Business Development Manager effectively manages the marketing and business development functions by concentrating time and resources on activities that attain measurable benefits to the credit union. S/he researches trends within the industry and recommends strategies to the Senior Management Team.

The Marketing & Business Development Manager is primarily responsible for new member acquisition, within our field of membership, and growth, enhancing community and Select Employee (SEG) relationships for Partnership Financial Credit Union (PFCU). The Marketing & Business Development Manager will foster and develop strong, sustainable relationships within the communities and SEG's we serve while enhancing the credit union's visibility and brand awareness. Leads the development and execution of strategic activities to forge new business relationships to increase membership and influence growth among organizations, communities, and website traffic.

The Marketing & Business Development Manager must be professional, sales and goal-orientated and prepared to take ownership of PFCU's overall business development goals. Leads, directs, and partners with office leads and staff to enhance efforts by creating and implementing sales action plans to ensure growth goals are met.

The Marketing & Business Development Manager works under the direction of the Chief Operations & Strategy Officer and manages the Marketing Coordinator team. The Marketing & Business Development Manager performs a variety of creative and support duties related to the marketing and business development function and the management of key vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing

In collaboration with the Senior Management Team, develop and implement an annual Marketing and Business Development plan based on organizational goals. Execute on plan with appropriate peer partners.Conduct analysis the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, promotions, strategies. Communicate results and overall analysis to Senior Management Team and make recommendations for change where appropriate.Develop Marketing budget, campaign proposals and P & L for all campaigns. Track and monitor marketing campaigns, promotions against budget and communicate results to stake holders.Develop, analyze, and maintain membership demographics to facilitate decision making or directional course.Maintains and monitors the credit union brand, acts as a Brand Ambassador.Maintain, monitor, and meet compliance standards for the credit union website, electronic media, and all collateral. Enhance PFCU website as a sales and service channel.Develop, apply, and evaluate policies and procedures for Marketing Department.Serve as a liaison for other departments to exchange and relate marketing related information as needed.Responsible for the marketing inventory, office distribution and placement of materials.Make all offices retail ready by ensuring correct placement of all office merchandising, including but not limited to posters, electronic media, signage etc.Research and evaluate new product opportunities, demand for potential products, member needs and insights.Manage the development of brochures, flyers, mailings, quarterly newsletter, constant contact and other member/prospect member communications and collateral that promote credit union product and services. Manage member communications plan.Expert understanding of all PFCU products and services, including lending product line to market products and services properly.Negotiate, manage, and maintain department contracts; gathers competitive bids as needed.

Business Development

Owner of business development and member strategy and goals; ensures all related business developmental assigned goals are met; proactively leads growth.Owner of membership growth and tracking; identifies and delivers on growth opportunities to support the strategic objectives of the organization.Partners with other business leads within the organization in creating and obtaining sales goals and growth initiatives for frontline staff.Execute strategies and actions that will increase membership and overall growth including cross-selling within the communities and SEGs we serve.Create campaigns and events to support new membership growth and penetration goals; ensuring business development efforts are coordinated across appropriate offices, markets, SEGs and communities.Supports the organizational goals and objectives, coordinates business development plans with the marketing department and branch team.Establish, develop, and maintain relationships that enable the credit union to increase visibility, brand awareness and create growth in a positive and professional manner.Acts as a liaison and sales driver within areas of influence; identifies, researches, implements, and analyzes opportunities for increasing sales within the various communities and SEGs we serve.Develops tracking, analyzes, and communicates departmental reporting, business development activities and results for management review; develops and tracks annual development plan and budget to support organizational goals.Recommends, develops, liaisons and drives strategies and promotions within the organization.Manages the correspondence and direct marketing programs to potential and existing members, organizations, and community outreach.

General

Maintains, develops and enhances relationships with key contacts, and vendors in order to perform job function. May attend and represent PFCU at SEG, community and industry networking events. 2. Keeps abreast of current events, credit union, banking trends and technology. This is especially relating to but not limited to, marketing, advertising, brand awareness and marketing compliance, allowing PFCU staff to rely on you for information, education, advising and guidance. 3. Functions as a business lead and/or project manager on departmental and/or organization wide projects. Contributes expertise in his/her assigned area, executes deliverables, and ensures that the project team completes tasks and milestones as outlined based on the project scope, timeline, and budget. 4. Promotes and maintains a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards and works effectively with members, co-workers, management, and vendors.5. Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures and Banking/Credit Union Regulations; keeps abreast of industry developments including, but not limited to changes in compliance, regulation, and technology. 6. Performs additional duties as required and may be utilized in other PFCU offices and departments.Scope

The Marketing & Business Development Manager works under minimal supervision exercising independent and sound judgement. S/He must have an expert marketing, advertising and sales skillset, excellent written and oral communication skills, time management, strong business acumen, pro-active, cross functional, action orientated, self-motivated, creative, highly functional and detail orientated.

Essential Skills, Knowledge And Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field and /or equivalent job-related experience providing the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities of the role.Minimum of 3 years of marketing and/or business development experience in credit union or financial institution a plus. Experience in working with and assisting others in a professional setting.Experience with creating and implementing strategic marketing plans / annual calendar.Excellent written, verbal, spelling, proofreading skills. Strong problem-solving, time management, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, ability to multi-task, well-organized, accuracy and detail orientated. Strong overall business acumen and a strategic thinker.Expert understanding of credit union or banking products and services. This to include PFCU's full deposit and lending product line, services, policies, and procedures.Results driven, goal and service oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team. A professional demeanor, positive attitude, and the willingness to advance.Strong decision making and time management skills; the ability to manage multiple projects/duties.Trustworthy with the ability to maintain highest level of integrity; bondable.Expert in all PFCU's software applications including member and vendor applications. Expert Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Must be flexible regarding work schedule as evening hours may be necessary.

Additional Information And Requirements

The Marketing & Business Development Manager will perform a major portion of his/her duties through verbal and written communications. It is critical that s/he possess the ability to communicate with clarity, while understanding and explaining complex situations to team members and outside contacts. Accuracy is essential and s/he must possess the ability to proofread documentation and correspondence to ensure free of errors and fraud. S/he will spend a good portion of the day seated at a workstation, but may also be mobile throughout the credit union for purposes of meetings, working with members and others, etc. The ability to move or lift boxes and general office equipment if needed.
