Communications Intern, Blended Public Affairs (BPA)

Duties

Content Development: Play a key role in content creation and digital strategy development, contributing directly to client and internal communications efforts.
Contribute to stakeholder newsletter; potentially including polls/surveys, and self-authored stories/blog posts.
Write case studies and articles to be used in stakeholder newsletter and Blended’s website.
Draft op-ed pieces, press releases, and other public-facing communications for internal and external use.
Assist with content creation, media planning strategies and execution for print and digital communications.
Public Engagement: Assist with public engagement events, including planning and execution of events.
Research: Assist with basic research and data entry.
Monitor relevant news sources and compile clips pertaining to Blended’s clients.
Attend weekly all-staff meetings and weekly intern check-in meeting.
Complete other duties as assigned.

Exposure to processes including but not limited to referendum ballot initiatives, legislative communications, campaigns (non-political), and certifications.

Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organization and attention to detail
Self-directed and confident
Enthusiasm and skills for team-oriented environment
Experience with Adobe Suite, Canva and email list management software is desired, but not required.
